Hi and welcome!
I am Garance, a self-taught graphic artist with a knack for whimsical themes and creatures. My personal work tends to lean towards ink drawing and watercolor. For professional projects and commissioned work, I choose the medium according to the needs. I believe in combining creative joy and spontaneity with consistency in choosing and following guidelines of a given projects.
In parallel to visual work, I study philosophy and ethics. Otherwise, I am a beginner Zen practitioner and an almost lifelong vegetarian.
I live and work in Stockholm. My first name's French and this is the way to pronounce it according to Wikipedia: /ɡa.ʁɑ̃s/ Not sure if this is helpful...!
Among my customers have been Glose.com (now Medium) and Jellysmack.
I love to fill sketchbooks, watercolors pad, drain out ballpoint pens, and take part in challenges such as Inktober or meetups of drawing enthusiasts. All of this contributes to joy of continuous learning, exploration, spontaneous sketching, anyway nurturing the creative itch.
I also have ideas for picture books, both for children and grown up, that I am currently developing.

Blog
While I don't have a blog per se at the moment, I publish thoughts on creativity in particular on Medium, not very often but when an author, artist or an idea captures my interest for a while. For instance, I wrote about the famous motto attributed to the ancient Greek painter Apelle, "Not a day without a line", which I committed to for a year.
Note that Medium has a paywall, which means that only members with a paid subscription can access some of the articles. Medium then redistributes the amount of the subscription to the authors.
